A WWE star has revealed that they have extended an invitation to a celebrity which will see them train together.
While the music artist Jelly Roll is currently mixing it up on WWE SmackDown with Kit Wilson and The Miz, another celebrity may be heading to the ring in the future.
Sharing a photo alongside the star in a rather aggressive choke/embrace on Twitter, Nattie (Natalya) revealed that she had invited Yungblud to wrestle at The Dungeon, stating:
“I invited @yungblud to wrestle in The Dungeon.
“He accepted… I think he’d fit in perfectly.”
Details of when this session will take place have not been revealed (at the time of writing), with Yungblud also yet to comment on the post by Nattie.
Born in Doncaster, England, in 1997, the alternative rock star Yungblud is a Grammy Award winner in his own right and released his fourth studio album, Idols, in June of last year.
A tangential connection to WWE could be found in the official music video for Zombie, a track on the Idols album, which saw Florence Pugh feature. Pugh had previously played Paige in the movie Fighting With My Family, a movie produced by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, who also starred in a cameo role.
On the topic of Jelly Roll, it was recently revealed that the award-winning artist cleaned the ring after a training session at the WWE Performance Center.
Celebrities Storm The Wrestling World
Celebrity involvement in wrestling goes back decades, with Jelly Roll and Bad Bunny being just two recent examples of musicians who have crossed over into the world of WWE.
Yungblud’s involvement in WWE has seen him provide the theme for WrestleMania 42, alongside Aerosmith, with a collaborative remix of the rock legends’ track ‘Back in the Saddle’.
While a training session, even one with Natalya, doesn’t necessarily mean a move to becoming a professional wrestler, it’s possible that Yungblud will appear on WWE television in some capacity, especially with WrestleMania 42 taking place on April 18 & 19 in Las Vegas.
The Dungeon has seen a number of WWE and independent wrestling stars pass through its doors since opening, with Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer among those in a recent session.
Beyond The Dungeon, Nattie will be taking her training skills to WWE LFG, the A&E series, joining Kevin Owens as a new coach in the third season, alongside Booker T and Bubba Ray Dudley.
Natalya forged her Nattie personality on matches in the independent scene before bringing it to WWE television, and has previously commented on her indie record to date.
