WWE has officially announced a Bloodline reunion match for SmackDown, amid uncertainty about the February 21 show.
Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga and Jacob Fatu are set to team together against Braun Strowman, Damian Priest and WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
This comes after dissension within the Bloodline on last week’s show, with Solo Sikoa inadvertently costing Jacob Fatu his Elimination Chamber qualifier.
This match will mark the first time Solo, Tonga and Fatu will have teamed together since the January 3 edition of SmackDown, almost two months ago.
WWE shared the following preview for the bout:
Last Friday on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa accidently took out Tama Tonga at ringside and cost Jacob Fatu his Elimination Chamber Triple Threat Qualifying Match against Damian Priest, who captured the win, and Braun Strowman.
Now, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Priest and Strowman will battle Sikoa, The Samoan Werewolf and Tonga in a Six-Man Tag Team Match.
Interestingly, this six-man match was one of the bouts which there have repotedly been ‘rumblings’ about being scrapped, with WrestleVotes reporting that SmackDown plans have been reworked following The Rock’s return announcement.
This bout is still listed on WWE.com at the time of writing, indicating that it is still on Friday’s card.
The official WWE website currently lists the following segments for Friday’s SmackDown episode:
The Final Boss returns
DIY vs. Pretty Deadly – WWE Tag Team Championship
Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest & Braun Strowman vs. Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga
Jimmy Uso takes on Drew McIntyre
We will continue to provide updates on the situation as they become available.
The Rock recently commented on his plans for his appearance, which you can read more about right here.
