Since the September 16 edition of SmackDown, WWE has been teasing the arrival (or return) of someone the White Rabbit, a symbol which is hotly speculated to represent Bray Wyatt.
The house lights have been dimming during dark segments accompanied by the psychedelic soundtrack of Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit.
These teases have led fans to speculate about the potential return of ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt, who has not wrestled since WrestleMania 37 in April 2021.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE is seeing big gains from this mysterious White Rabbit, despite us all being in the dark as to who the teases are for.
Acknowledging Bray Wyatt return speculation, Meltzer noted:
“He’ll sell merch. They’re already selling White Rabbit merch at the shows and they’re selling really big. So from a merch standpoint he’ll be really big.”

The merchandise currently on sale includes t-shirts with the white rabbit symbol and one featuring a depiction of the hangman game that has been featured in the teases.
The hangman game includes the question “who killed the world,” with the retort, “you did.”
According to the WWE merch store website, the hangman shirt is currently the most popular item in its category.
The White Rabbit clues continued on the most recent edition of SmackDown on September 30.
A QR code appeared briefly following a promo by Karrion Kross which led fans to another WWE website.
The website contained a video, which you can watch here, that depicts a cartoon pig interspersed with images of butchered pork followed by Red Riding Hood and Big Bad Wold imagery.
There was plenty to decode in the video, including morse code which has been said to read AZAZEL REBORN.

Bray Wyatt was released from his WWE contract in July 2021. He has reportedly been in talks with WWE about a return, but these negotiations apparently ‘stalled.”
In a video that circulated on social media, Wyatt has recently been seen training in a video with former boxing Welterweight World Champion Keith Thurman and coach Kaye Wilson, adding to the speculation of a return.
