WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H has addressed a title change which took place on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw.
The December 16 Raw episode saw the War Raiders challenge for Finn Balor and JD McDonagh’s WWE World Tag Team Championship.
Ivar and Erik were ultimately victorious, pinning the Judgment Day to win the gold after 16 minutes of action.
Triple H has now taken to Twitter to address Ivar and Erik’s championship victory.
Sharing a backstage photo of himself with the War Raiders following the title change, the WWE CCO wrote:
To the edge of the cliff and back… Congratulations to #WarRaiders, your NEW World Tag Team Champions. #WWERaw
The War Raiders ended Balor and McDonagh’s 175 day reign with the gold. The Judgment Day won the gold from The Miz and R-Truth of Awesome Truth on the June 24 Raw episode.
Monday’s title match was just their third defence of the gold, following retentions over the New Day in September, and the War Raiders in November.
