Trick Williams explains how Triple H and other WWE management got him wearing the same white coat all the time.
Williams’ white coat has become a signature part of his look since joining the WWE main roster on SmackDown, but it was never a fixture during his time in NXT.
In a new interview with ESPN, Williams explained how input from Triple H and other members of the WWE management team led him to wear the same coat all the time instead of changing up his look weekly.
He said:
“When I debuted on SmackDown, I put on this white mink coat, and I stepped out and I wanted to make a point to everybody. And it was widely accepted, I interrupted Sami Zayn and he’s hated me ever since.
“The next Friday, I put on a new fit, and Triple H said, ‘Where’s your coat?’ I was thinking to myself, ‘It ain’t MY coat, it’s A coat.’ And I let that slide.
“Then Bruce Prichard, he comes over and says, ‘Where’s your coat?’ I’m like, ‘Oh, alright.’ Then Michael Hayes, ‘Where’s your coat?’ Oh, I get it now. He said, ‘I ain’t never seen Elvis Presley without his coat.’
“I was like, ‘I got it. This is my coat.’
“Then, I called myself the ‘Annointed One,’ so how fitting is it for Trick Williams to wear all white every single time you see him.”

Trick Williams’ Mom Visting WrestleMania 42
In the same interview, Trick Williams explained that despite recent struggles with a knee replacement, his mom couldn’t miss the chance to see him at WrestleMania.
He explained:
“She said, ‘I couldn’t miss this for the world.’
“She got a knee replacement and she’s rehabbing every single day. She said, ‘Baby, I ain’t gonna miss your first WrestleMania.'”

Will Trick Williams Win At WWE WrestleMania?
At WrestleMania 42, Trick Williams will challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE United States Championship.
WWE has made a major point of presenting Williams as a star and it wouldn’t be a surprise at all to see him win the US Title at WrestleMania.
However, the possibility remains that WWE could execute a double turn – firmly turning Williams babyface and Zayn heel – as a way for Zayn to keep hold of the title and continue their feud to lead to a rematch.
