Triple H has reacted to the ending of WWE Elimination Chamber and the news surrounding Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes.
The men’s Elimination Chamber match tonight came down to Orton and Rhodes, at which point McIntyre entered the ring through the open door to attempt an ambush.
After Rhodes and Orton got rid of him, ultimately Orton would strike Rhodes with an RKO to win the match.
In theory, this earned Orton an Undisputed WWE Championship match against McIntyre at WrestleMania 42.
However, due to McIntyre getting involved, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis made an announcement.
On WWE SmackDown this coming Friday, McIntyre will put his title on the line against Rhodes.
Commenting on these events, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H spoke on the Elimination Chamber post-show, saying:
“Cody Rhodes right now finds himself on the outside looking in of WrestleMania, which is an unfamiliar place for him, and it’s cold out there.
“He’s gonna be driven, but also Drew McIntyre’s gonna be driven not to lose his spot.
“This is gonna be interesting.
“I don’t think anybody called Randy Orton coming out of that Chamber – though Randy can do anything – I think everybody thought it was gonna be Cody Rhodes, so this is a hell of a swerve on the way to WrestleMania.”
