WWE Chief Content Officer has addressed Tiffany Stratton winning the WWE Women’s Championship.
With Stratton winning the Money in the Bank contract in July and Nia Jax winning the WWE Women’s Championship in August, there was a lot of speculation about Stratton’s eventual cash-in, with many believing she’d take the title from her friend.
This is ultimately what happened, with Stratton capitalizing following Jax’ title defence against Naomi on the January 3 SmackDown episode.
After hitting Naomi with her briefcase to help Jax retain the gold, Stratton struck Jax with the briefcase during her post-match attack of Bianca Belair.
Belair then hit Jax with a KOD, before Stratton took Belair and Candice LeRae out and cashed in. One Prettiest Moonsault Ever later, Stratton was the champion.
Triple H has now taken to Twitter to share a photo of himself with the new WWE Women’s Champion.
Commenting on the ‘bold’ title change, Triple H wrote:
“Fortune favors the bold, and tonight Tiffany Stratton was as bold as you can be.
“Congratulations to the NEW WWE Women’s Champion.”
This marked Stratton’s first traditional championship win on the main roster, not including her Money in the Bank ladder match victory. The popular star notably held the NXT Women’s Championship for 107 days in 2023.
