NXT star and TNA World Champion Trick Williams has provided an update on his timeline for a call-up to the WWE main roster.
Williams made his NXT debut in late 2021, and has gone on to win the NXT North American Championship, the NXT Championship twice, and now reigns as the TNA World Champion.
As one of the longer-tenured names in NXT at this point, with the likes of Carmelo Hayes, Bron Breakker, Grayson Waller and more all debuting around the same time and having already been on the WWE main roster for a while, many fans have been wondering how long it’ll be before Williams makes that move.
Speaking on Booker T’s Hall of Fame show, Booker asked Williams about his timeline for a main roster call-up, to which Williams replied:
“Yesterday could have been soon enough man. I’ve been ready to make that jump to the red or blue brand for a long time.
“I feel like it’s that time, I feel like it’s been that time. I feel like people wanna see that.
“But as for now, wherever I am, I’m just gonna make sure it’s the hottest show.”

Triple H named Trick Williams, Oba Femi and Sol Ruca during the Wrestlepalooza pre-show when talking about the top prospects in NXT, so he’s at least on the radar in that sense.
Williams was involved in the title vs title match on last night’s WWE NXT against Oba Femi that played host to the ‘TNA invasion,’ meaning neither Williams’ TNA World Title or Femi’s NXT Title changed hands.
