A top NJPW star made a surprise appearance on tonight’s (July 29) episode of AEW Collision.
Prior to the show, Darby Allin had issued a challenge to anyone to fight him on the show.
However, the man to answer Darby’s challenge was none other than NJPW star Minoru Suzuki, making a surprise in-ring debut on Collision.
Tragedy struck however, as Darby jumped Suzuki before his entrance had finished, cutting off his iconic Kaze Ni Nare theme song, and causing the Suzuki Incident 2.0.
Suzuki appeared on Collision ahead of Forbidden Door, accompanying Chris Jericho for the segment that saw Darby Allin and Sting introduce Tetsuya Naito as their tag team partner for Forbidden Door.
At Forbidden Door, Sting, Darby and Naito defeated Jericho, Suzuki and Sammy Guevara.
Allin is set to challenge Luchasaurus for Christian Cage’s TNT Championship at AEW All Out in Chicago on September 3.
It is none other than Minoru Suzuki who has answered Darby Allin's challenge for a fight!
