Johnny Gargano has reacted to Tommaso Ciampa announcing his WWE departure, ahead of his tag-team partner’s official exit.
Tommaso Ciampa confirmed that he is finishing up with WWE, taking to social media on January 21 to announce that his contract will be up “very soon.”
Johnny Gargano has now reacted to Ciampa announcing his exit, taking to Instagram to share a new post.
The post – which you can view below or at this link – shows Gargano backstage watching Ciampa on a TV screen.

Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa’s WWE careers have always been linked, with the duo coming in together to team in the NXT Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in September 2015.
The duo officially signed with WWE in April 2016, and went on to hold the NXT Tag Team Championship, as well as the WWE Tag Team Championship together.
Gargano and Ciampa notably feuded in NXT, with many fans calling their series of matches from 2018 to 2020 one of the best rivalries in NXT history.
