A new TNA Wrestling Champion has confirmed that he will be bringing his championship with him to tonight’s WWE NXT No Mercy show.
Amid the ongoing relationship between WWE NXT and TNA, tonight’s NXT No Mercy event is set to take place, featuring two TNA wrestlers in action.
In the main event, Joe Hendry is set to challenge Ethan Page for the NXT Championship, while elsewhere on the show, Zachary Wentz will battle former tag team partner Wes Lee.
Ahead of his match with Wes Lee, Wentz was in action at the TNA Emergence pay-per-view on Friday night, where he competed in the Ultimate X match for the TNA X-Division Championship, which also featured Speedball Mike Bailey, Jason Hotch, Hammerstone, Laredo Kid and NXT‘s Riley Osborne.
Wentz was victorious in the match, becoming the new X-Division Champion ahead of his No Mercy encounter.
Taking to Twitter ahead of the show, Wentz confirmed that he would indeed be bringing his new championship with him to the event.
He said:
