There has been a title change during tonight’s WWE Elimination Chamber 2026 premium live event in Chicago, Illinois.
After the women’s Elimination Chamber match kicked off the show, the second bout of the night saw Becky Lynch put the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against AJ Lee.
Lee, in her first singles match in 11 years, scored the win and is the new Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
This marks her first title reign since she was WWE Divas Champion back in 2014.
AJ Lee’s Record Against Becky Lynch
Lee is now 3-0 over Becky Lynch since her return last year, making Lynch tap out to the Black Widow submission hold on every occasion.
Firstly, Lee teamed with CM Punk to defeat Lynch and Seth Rollins in a husbands and wives mixed tag team match at Wrestlepalooza.
Then, Lee scored the win for her team in the WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series by making Lynch tap out.
And tonight, she pulled off the trifecta by defeating Lynch to become the Women’s Intercontinental Champion.
Lee is the fourth different woman to hold the Women’s IC Title in five separate reigns since its inception in January 2025 after Lyra Valkyria, Lynch, Maxxine Dupri and Lynch again.
Earlier tonight at Elimination Chamber, Rhea Ripley won the women’s Chamber match to earn a WWE Women’s Title shot against Jade Cargill at WrestleMania 42.
