WWE has officially confirmed the recruitment of three new signings to the Performance Center for the NXT brand.

While WWE has been signing plenty of established names from the world of wrestling throughout the past year or so, there are still a number of recruits that come from different sports as well.

Three such recruits were touted today on the official WWE NXT social media page after signing with the company in the past few months.

The first new confirmed recruit is Shady Elnahas, a Canadian Judoka, who was actually born in Alexandria, Egypt before moving to Canada at 12 years old.

Elnahas, 27, is the reigning Pan-American Games champion and Commonwealth Games champion in Judo at 100 kg or less.

He also represented Canada at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

After WWE announced his signing today, he posted a photo on his own social media alongside Shawn Michaels, with the caption:

Heartbreakers 💔 Your thoughts are the architects of your destiny.

Another new signing is Francois Prinsloo, 23, a South African discus thrower who was born in Nairobi, Kenya.

Prinsloo represented South Africa in discus throwing at Paris 2024.

Late last year, he made a couple of posts on social media alluding to signing with WWE, writing in one of them:

So yes, big surprise my sweet little discopliques, I have made a major career change. I will be giving WWE all of my energy and will to rise to the very top…but that doesn’t mean you won’t be getting a little bit of discus content every now and then🤫

I have a lot of love for this sport and a lot of knowledge to share, and that has something in the works currently so stay tuned for that😉

In a separate post around the same time, he wrote:

The third of the new signings officially unveiled today is Austrian Judoka Aaron Fara.

Fara, 27, represented Austria at Paris 2024 in both the men’s 100 kg or less category, and the mixed team category.
