Greatest Royal Rumble Approaching!
The Greatest Royal Rumble – i.e. the WrestleMania after WrestleMania – is nearly upon us. And here, on WrestleTalk, we ask the hard questions about WWE’s controversial event in Saudi Arabia’s beautiful city of Jeddah. My god, it’s just so beautiful.
Harder questions than: what’s going to happen to the US and Intercontinental titles? Harder questions than: should WWE really put on an event in a society that limits the rights of women while promoting themselves as a leader in women’s equality? And even harder questions than: who really is Byron Saxton?
No, here on WrestleTalk, we want to know… what the seats will be like for the show?
Turns out the answer to this hard question is… soft. Rather luxuriously soft.
Thanks to Donaldrunk5 on Reddit, who’s earned the nickname ‘Saudi Meltzer’ in the comments, we have a look at the VIP seats at ringside… which appear to be really nice sofa-style armchairs. They look much comfier than the fold out plastic ones. Note to self: discover more oil.
Undertaker’s Greatest Royal Vlog
Because kayfabe also seemed to retire with Undertaker’s WrestleMania 33 match last year, Saudi Meltzer has also shared a photo of the Deadman looking absolutely thrilled to be arriving in the beautiful city of Jeddah. GOOD GOD, the city is just so incredibly beautiful. I want to lick it.
Now on location, Taker’s first stop was to pump some iron, where he revealed WWE actually stands for ‘Work Out With Elias’… as that’s Elias just behind him in the photo.
And to cap off a busy day in Saudi Arabia, and for the important process of carb back-loading, the Deadman then went for a Greatest Royal Dinner.
Pictures and videos have surfaced online with some of the biggest WWE stars of past and present – unless you’re a woman – dining with the President of Sports Federation of Islamic Solidarity Turki Alsheikh.

At the dinner – from far right of the table through to the other side are Rusev, Randy Orton, Mark Henry, The Great Khali, Kurt Angle, Taker, Brock Lesnar, Vince McMahon, Alsheikh and Triple H at the table head, and Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Shane McMahon on the other side.
In one of the videos, Lesnar can be seen throwing up a ‘Loser sign’ to Reigns sitting across from him on the other side of the table. Such a nice guy.
Undertaker WWE 2018 Plans Leaked?
Undertaker’s Greatest Royal Rumble match against Rusev, I mean Chris Jericho, I mean Rusev is, of course, his second in-ring appearance since ‘retiring’ at WrestleMania 33 last year. So what does this mean for ‘The Deadman’ going forward?
According to PWStream, who have broken several wrestling stories this week, the idea is for Taker to be a part-time performer going forward:

This coincides with the ‘big 4 / 5’ pay-per-view figure WWE have for their annual schedule – the inferior Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Money in the Bank, SummerSlam and Survivor Series. And if Taker is willing to work more matches going forward, this might actually be the start of a multi-match program with Rusev – meaning the ‘Bulgarian Brute’ could actually win today’s Casket Mat-who am I kidding. That’s not going to happen.
