A major star could be making a return to the WWE soon if a clue that you may have missed is anything to go by.
On the December 16 episode of WWE Raw, Adam Pearce announced CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins for the debut on Netflix.
An eagle-eyed spotted something that could be a tease for the role of The Rock, however.
As can be seen in the footage below, The Rock’s face can briefly be seen on the production truck behind Pearce.
Per WrestleVotes on Backstage Pass, this was a purposeful tease, with The Rock reportedly expected to be at the show.
WrestleVotes noted:
“If you watch Raw last night, you want to go back and watch it, or whatever, Adam Pearce is backstage talking about making (Seth) Rollins and (CM) Punk for Netflix. The whole segment was about Netflix. Right over his shoulder is a semi-truck with a big picture of The Rock.
“They don’t do that type of thing by accident. They never do and they’re not going to start. And that’s what I’ll say about that. There was a purpose for that, and as far as I know, he’s expected to be there, whether that says he’s working WrestleMania or not. That’s a different ball game. I do know on January 6, there are people within the WWE that expect The Rock to be there.”
previously reports had indicated that The Rock would be on the January 6 episode of WWE Raw.
With WWE seeking to “load up the show” for the premiere episode, it was also noted that Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin could make an appearance.
Another name teased for WWE Raw on January 6 appears to be Penta El Zero Miedo, with a tease video appearing on this week’s episode.
The tease video being for the former AEW star was recently backed up by PW Insider sources.
Having announced 2025 as his retirement year, John Cena will have a “heavy presence” in the initial months of WWE Raw on Netflix.
Another big name announced for WWE Raw on January 6 is Roman Reigns where he will face Solo Sikoa.
