Swerve Strickland has broken his silence following his heel turn on the February 18 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The main event of last night’s AEW Dynamite saw the hotly anticipated first-ever one-on-one encounter between former AEW World Champions Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega.
It was Strickland who picked up the win after an expectedly evenly matched contest. However, rather than be content with his win over “The Cleaner”, Strickland continued his assault on Omega after the bell – choking Omega out with a chain before delivering a Vertebreaker through the AEW Dynamite commentary table.
In his first comments following the attack, Strickland shared a picture of himself from Dynamite along with a checklist of the members of The Elite he’s previously taken out.
As can be seen below, Strickland crossed out “Hangman” Adam Page, The Young Bucks and lastly Kenny Omega.
It’s unclear when Omega will be back on AEW TV following this attack, but we will provide updates regarding the company’s plans should any news emerge.
As for Hangman Page, he will face off with MJF for the AEW World Championship at Revolution 2026 on March 15, with Page agreeing to never compete for AEW’s top prize ever again should he lose – click here for full details.
