A potential spoiler on a planned heel turn for a recently debuted WWE star ahead of a big premium live event match has emerged.
Former AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May officially left AEW at the beginning of June, and it didn’t take long for her to make the move over to WWE.
Mariah debuted on the June 3 episode of WWE NXT, though her name wasn’t mentioned on the show, with her later being renamed Blake Monroe.
During her appearances on the show, Blake has been portrayed as a babyface in a rivalry with Fatal Influence and NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, with her set to team with Jordynne Grace against Jayne and Fallon Henley at the Great American Bash event this weekend.
Before joining WWE, Mariah was portrayed as a heel during her AEW run, which led to speculation that she could quickly turn heel in NXT soon.
In an update from Fightful Select (subscription required), a heel run for Blake Monroe on NXT has already been discussed, though Fightful hasn’t heard of when that specifically would happen, but it was brought up for the near future.
There are also reportedly long-term plans for Blake Monroe on NXT television after she debuted on the brand last month.
