Sometimes, I can be vain. Sometimes, I’ll be waiting in a queue at a cafe and I’ll load up WrestleTalk’s YouTube channel, and yes… I’ll watch myself host a video.
Randy Orton Watches Randy Orton
Which is just another way I’m like Randy Orton. I’m sure we’d be best friends if he didn’t block me on Twitter. WHY DID YOU DO IT, RANDY?!
With the entire WWE roster – unless you’re a woman – journeying to Saudi Arabia for today’s Greatest Royal Rumble event, in-flight entertainment has been a hot topic of conversation. Like Orton’s viewing choice…
Just got on a plane to Saudia Arabia for #WWEGRR. Movies are onboard and the first pick under ‘hollywood/action’ is…. pic.twitter.com/K11eF4ykYa

I hope he enjoyed it in true WWE screen-watching style. Held way over to the left and watched out the corner of your eye.
WWE Greatest Royal Rumble Intermission
If you thought you’d be able to sneak in a similar bit of 12 Rounds viewing in the Greatest Royal Rumble’s reported one hour intermission, you’d be mistaken.
WWE confirms to @CBSSports there will indeed be a short prayer break during #WWEGRR on Friday, out of respect for local customs. It will not impact the home viewing audience.
Separately, I'm hearing the break will last approx. 15 minutes — not an hour as reported elsewhere.

***SPOILER WARNING***

Fittingly some of our prayers have been answered, with WWE reportedly planning several big shock returns for the show. Now this could involve spoilers, so if you don’t want to know look away and cover your ears in 3…2…1…
WWE Greatest Royal Pyro!
WWE will be bringing back pyro for the Greatest Royal Rumble event! It’ll be explosive. Literally. They’re fireworks.
This comes from Donaldrunk5 on Reddit, who posted a video of pyro being tested at the arena in the beautiful city of Jeddah. It’s just… so… beautiful.
But those aren’t the only shock returns planned…
Shawn Daivari & Hornswoggle WWE Returns?
…as PWInsider are reporting former WWE wrestlers Shawn Daivari and Hornswoggle are in Saudi Arabia for today’s Greatest Royal Rumble show.
Daivari last wrestled for WWE in 2007, where he once worked as The Great Khali’s manager – who is also scheduled to be in the 50-man Royal Rumble match. Shawn went onto wrestle for ROH and Impact after leaving the promotion, and has remained active on the independent scene. His younger brother Ariya Daivari currently wrestles on 205 Live.
Speaking of Cruiserweight wrestlers, former division Champion Hornswoggle was released by WWE in 2016, where he’s since gone onto wrestle for Impact and on the independent scene.
But they aren’t the only ones WWE wanted to return for the event…
WWE Wanted Shawn Michaels GRR Return
…as if Triple H, John Cena, Chris Jericho, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Rey Mysterio, Kurt Angle, and, of course, Hornswoggle and Shawn Daivari weren’t enough, X-Pac has revealed on his X Pac 12360 podcast that WWE made retired Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels an offer to return to the ring.
“There’s a lot of money being thrown around. It’s an insane amount of money being thrown around… You know they wanted to get Shawn, and he was just like, ‘you know what, don’t even bother sending me an offer and trying to tempt me’. Cause there’s huge money offers. And he’s going, ‘I got a thing with one of my kids, and I’m doing that and that’s all there is to it’. So good for him.”
Michaels is one of the few wrestlers in history where retirement has meant actually staying retired – not having wrestled since his WrestleMania 26 loss to The Undertaker in 2010.
