Sasha Banks has seemingly confirmed her WWE departure through a series of Tweets ahead of her anticipated NJPW debut.
While Banks expressed her gratitude to amongst others, her fans, Triple H and Vince McMahon, she also said a thank you to ‘Sasha Banks’ herself.
Taken as a general sign that she has since retired the ‘Sasha Banks’ character, it is anticipated that the former Banks (real name Mercedes Varnado) will take another ring name.
After a series of trademarks were filed by Varnado’s company Soulnado for iterations of Mercedes Mone’ it seems that we may meet Mone’ sooner than later!
Elsewhere in the series of Tweets, Mercedes also thanked her loyal fans as the ‘Sasha Krew’ has continued to have Varnado’s back during her absence from television.
Sasha Banks famously walked out of WWE, alongside fellow WWE Women’s Tag Team champion Naomi (real name Trinity Fatu) and has not been seen at a wrestling related appearance since.
According to reports, WWE star Bayley and former WWE star and former co-WWE Women’s Tag Team champion Trinity Fatu (fka Naomi) are also going to be in attendance at tonight’s Wrestle Kingdom 17.
