Sami Zayn has reacted after becoming the number one contender for Drew McIntyre’s Undisputed WWE Championship.
Last night at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Sami Zayn faced Randy Orton, Trick Williams and Damian Priest in a four-way match in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Zayn picked up the win, earning him a shot at the WWE Championship against McIntyre at the upcoming Royal Rumble premium live event in Riyadh on January 31.
After scoring the victory last night and getting one step closer to finally becoming a world champion in WWE, Zayn shared a photo on social media hugging his wife who was in the front row to watch him in Montreal.
Zayn captioned the post:
“Almost there.”
Zayn vs McIntyre is one of four matches set for this coming Saturday’s Royal Rumble event.
The show will also play host to both the men’s and women’s Rumble matches to determine who will earn WWE or World Title shots at WrestleMania 42.
Also on the card is a singles match between AJ Styles and GUNTHER with Styles’ career on the line.
