WWE’s Roman Reigns has addressed rumors he and Cody Rhodes were kept apart on the set of the Street Fighter movie.
Both Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes took time off WWE television last year due to filming their parts in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, releasing later this year.
Cody is set to play Guile in the movie, while Roman plays Akuma, and Cody recently made a comment in an interview implying that the two were kept apart during filming.
Roman Reigns Addresses Street Fighter Filming
Speaking to TMZ, Roman addressed the rumors that the former rivals had to be kept apart during filming.
He said:
“I heard that, and the rumor is he was requesting that. He was a little nervous that I was showing up, because he got there before me and there was only a couple days of crossover, so I think he was a little.
“You know what happens, the Tribal Chief comes to town, he gets a little nervous, he don’t know what to do.”

When Will Roman Reigns Face Cody Rhodes Again In WWE?
Since Cody Rhodes’ return to WWE, he and Roman Reigns have had two major singles matches, main eventing both WrestleMania 39 and WrestleMania 40.
With the two men currently tied at one victory a piece, fans are eagerly awaiting the third and final encounter between the two men to really settle the score between the two.
Back in November, it had been reported that WWE had plans to run the third match between Cody and Roman at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, which led to the closing moments of WarGames, where Reigns and Rhodes got into a staredown.
However, plans for the match ultimately fell through, with WWE reportedly believing that the fans would have ‘burn out’ from having Reigns vs. Rhodes main event WrestleMania for the third time in four years.
Along with the change, Cody also pitched to lose the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre during their rivalry, which led to Drew winning the belt on January 9 in Berlin, Germany in their Three Stages of Hell encounter.
With Rhodes defending against Randy Orton and Reigns challenging CM Punk this year at WrestleMania, the wait for the pair’s third encounter continues, though it remains a match WWE should run in the future.
