On tonight’s WWE SmackDown, Paul Heyman asserted that Roman Reigns would not be signing the contract for Royal Rumble 2024.
As the opening segment of tonight’s show was set to feature the contract signing segment for the big Fatal Four way scheduled for the Royal Rumble, instead there was breaking news.
While LA Knight, Randy Orton and AJ Styles joined SmackDown GM to sign the Royal Rumble 2024 contract, all that was left was for Roman Reigns to sign.
Paul Heyman arrived on the scene instead however, boldly declaring that Roman Reigns had not had sufficient time to have counsel review the contract.
Thusly, Roman Reigns would not be signing the Royal Rumble Fatal Four Way contract here tonight.
However, instead Nick Aldis retorted that it was fine since he already had three of the four competitors signatures, he would simply make it a triple threat.
That is, a Triple Threat match for the ‘vacant’ WWE Undisputed Championship to which Heyman returned to the ring.
Heyman again insisted that the Royal Rumble 2024 match should be a one-on-one match.
This led to pandemonium between LA Knight and AJ Styles as Randy Orton watched on silently in the corner of the ring.
When the two eventually brawled off with Aldis in tow trying to break up the melee, Randy Orton got his hands on Paul Heyman.
With his hand wrapped around his tie, Orton informed Heyman that he would be taking on Solo Sikoa tonight and vowed to reintroduce Roman Reigns to the RKO.
Elsewhere set for tonight’s show, Kevin Owens is set to have a face-to-face with Logan Paul as the United States Champion appears on the K.O. Show.
