WWE star Xavier Woods has questioned the crowd’s reaction following Roman Reigns and The Usos attacking CM Punk on Raw.
The March 23 episode was headlined by a segment which saw CM Punk and Roman Reigns meet face to face ahead of their World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania 42.
Things ultimately turned physical, with Punk fending off Jey and Jimmy Uso before being dropped by Roman Reigns’ Superman Punk.
While The Usos then left the ring with officials, Reigns remained behind, hitting Punk with his spear and powerbombing him through the announcer’s table.
With the crowd chanting “OTC” during the beatdown, Xavier Woods reacted to this reaction on Instagram.
Commenting under WWE’s video highlight of the attack, Woods criticized the fans’ response, writing:
“It’s 3 on 1 and yall keep blindly cheering for Roman. That’s crazy.”
The Usos’ involvement in this main event feud comes following Punk telling Reigns that he will bury him next to his father on the March 2 Raw episode, referencing the late Sika Anoa’i.
The following week’s edition of Raw saw Jimmy & Jey confront Punk, demanding an apology, which Punk ultimately didn’t give them.
With Punk outnumbered ahead of WrestleMania 42, it would make sense for some allies to join forces with Punk to neutralise the Bloodline.
Roman Reigns earned a championship match at WrestleMania by winning January’s Royal Rumble match. The OTC stated on February 2 that he had chosen to challenge for Punk’s World Heavyweight Championship at the Show of Shows, because he hates Punk.
WrestleMania 42 will emanate from the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on April 18 and 19.
