The WWE singles debut match of former AEW star Ricky Saints (Ricky Starks) has been announced for next week’s NXT.
Former AEW star Ricky Starks wasted no time signing with WWE following his AEW release last month, with him arriving just a day after his release, showing up on NXT television.
The following week, Ricky officially signed his NXT contract under his new name Ricky Saints, with him competing in his debut match the following week.
Saints teamed with Je’von Evans to defeat Ethan Page and Wes Lee in tag team action, though Ricky is yet to compete in a singles match in the company.
Last week, Ricky was involved in a backstage segment with both Ridge Holland and Ethan Page, which ended with Ridge and Ricky butting heads.
On tonight’s Roadblock special episode of NXT, Saints appeared backstage, where he asked Ava to give him a match with Ridge Holland on next week’s show.
Tonight’s show also saw the Hardy Boyz defend the TNA World Tag Team Championship against Nathan Frazer and Axiom.
