Rey Mysterio has recalled a talk he had with John Cena backstage after Cena’s last WWE Raw match that saw them team together.
In November, Mysterio, Cena and Sheamus defeated the Judgment Day trio of Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor and JD McDonagh in what was Cena’s last match on Raw before his retirement a month later.
On the latest edition of What Do You Wanna Talk About? hosted by two-time WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Rey recalled a talk he had with Cena and Sheamus after that match.
He said:
“I had a learning lesson with John and Sheamus and myself. John had a good talk with us after our match.
“Obviously, you can’t feel like you know everything, but you never stop learning. I think that’s what always keeps me so on my toes and always willing to learn and accept, and know how to adapt.
“That’s the one thing about this sport – if you think you know it all, you’re completely wrong, because there’s always new stuff that you learn. Or even not new stuff – stuff that has been around, you just haven’t applied it to your work.
“It was a very good learning experience.”
