Rey Mysterio has returned to WWE Raw and has been added to the Intercontinental Championship ladder match at WrestleMania 42.
Mysterio suffered an injury earlier this year and had been off WWE TV for a couple of months.
He was originally planned for a match against GUNTHER, but due to his absence, GUNTHER was moved to facing Seth Rollins instead.
Raw tonight saw Penta, Je’Von Evans and Dragon Lee defeat El Grande Americano and Los Americanos in a six-man tag team match before Mysterio made his entrance to congratulate the winning team, and also announced Adam Pearce had added him to the ladder match.
That means the match is now WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta defending against Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, Je’Von Evans, JD McDonagh and Rusev.
New Match Confirmed For WWE WrestleMania 42
Tonight’s WWE Raw played host to a new match being confirmed for WrestleMania 42.
A couple of weeks ago, IShowSpeed returned to WWE TV and suffered a curse at the hands of Danhausen.
This led to Speed’s life becoming a nightmare with various funny moments on his live stream, including LA Knight crashing the stream and throwing Speed into his camera setup.
Speed has continued appearing since then and has reluctantly become aligned with The Vision as they’ve been on the opposite side of the Usos and Knight.
Tonight, Austin Theory defeated Knight thanks to shenanigans on the outside of the ring with Speed and Paul.
The Usos came out to confront Theory, Speed and Paul before Knight called out WWE Raw General Manager Adamn Pearce to make a six-man tag match for WrestleMania, which is exactly what Pearce did.
