SmackDown star Murphy has barely been seen on television of late. Since his storyline with the Mysterio family was dropped out of nowhere, he has not been used.
Ringside News, which has had many of its reports confirmed by the likes of Fightful and Dave Meltzer in recent times, is reporting that they were told that Murphy is incredibly frustrated backstage. They mentioned in the report that they were told he is “desperate to get noticed”, citing his recent tweets about the Mysterio family as evidence.
Murphy does not currently have a match for WrestleMania 37, although he put out a challenge on Twitter to Aleister Black. The two have some history together dating back to their 2019 Raw feud. Black has also been taken off television in recent months.
We will provide any additional details on Murphy’s current WWE situation as they become available.
