A Monday Night Raw star’s fiancè has commented for the first time since it was announced that he would be undergoing a WWE tryout.
Ahead of this week’s first-ever two-night SummerSlam premium live event in New Jersey, WWE is holding tryouts to potentially find the next crop of future stars.
As previously reported, among the names confirmed to be receiving the opportunity is LJ Cleary, an Irish independent wrestler who has previously competed for notable promotions such as Pro Wrestling NOAH, OTT, NJPW, DEFY and many others.
Cleary is also the fiancè of former Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria, and was seen in the front row for Valkyria’s match with Becky Lynch at WWE Backlash 2025 back in May.
One day following the announcement of his participation, Cleary has now taken to Twitter to publicly address the opportunity for the first time.
Sharing a picture of himself wearing his WWE SummerSlam tryout shirt, Cleary wrote:
