Brock Lesnar has commented on how he got started with WWE and picked up the pro-wrestling business so quickly after getting into it.
Lesnar is the youngest WWE Champion of all time, winning his first title aged 25 by defeated The Rock in 2002.
Now that’s back on WWE TV regularly in the build-up to WrestleMania 42 where he faces Oba Femi, Lesnar has appeared in a new interview with Barstool Sports, where he discussed how he kicked off his WWE career.
It’s not often we see Lesnar in interviews like this, so it’s rare to hear him describe his own backstory.
He explained:
“WWE was the only real offer on the table for me, my only option to go and make some money.
“I’d never watched – I didn’t even know pro-wrestling existed until I got to college.
“And then I got down to OVW and it just clicked with me. I was like, ‘Well this isn’t really hard. There’s a good guy and a bad guy.’
“I just picked it up really fast and the company saw my improvements, and the next thing I know I’m the youngest WWE Champion in history.”

Brock Lesnar’s Path To WrestleMania 42
Brock Lesnar has appeared on WWE Raw for the past two weeks, on both occasions being confronted by Oba Femi.
And on both occasions, Femi has overpowered Lesnar and got the better of him, last night clotheslining him over the top rope and outside the ring.
Lesnar had a look of surprise on his face, with WWE positioning him as something of an underdog heading into the match.
With all the times people have attempted and failed to defeat Lesnar – as Paul Heyman mentioned on Raw – it would be a really big deal if Femi is the one who’s able to pull it off.
