A new report has teased a potential spoiler for tonight’s Friday, January 19 edition of WWE SmackDown.
On the January 5 New Year’s Revolution edition of WWE SmackDown, Butch and Tyler Bate defeated Pretty Deadly.
The following week, Butch and Bate appeared in a pre-produced vignette where Butch said the Brawling Brutes were a thing of the past, while Bate said his friend needed to make a name for himself.
As previously reported, Fightful Select has confirmed that this segment will be leading to Butch changing his name back to “Pete Dunne.”
According to WrestleVotes, it seems like the “Pete Dunne” moniker may make a return on tonight’s SmackDown.
Butch and Tyler Bate will team in a rematch against Pretty Deadly on the show, so it remains to be seen if the former Brawling Brute will be introduced as Pete Dunne.
Also announced for tonight’s broadcast, Randy Orton will face Solo Sikoa in singles action and LWO’s Carlito, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde will face Santos Escobar, Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo.
WrestleTalk will provide any news and notes from tonight’s WWE SmackDown when they become available.
