The new name for a recently formed WWE faction has been confirmed following a recent trademark filing from the company.
Over the past few months, Shawn Spears has quietly been recruiting members of the NXT roster to his side, starting with Brooks Jensen.
After Brooks joined Spears, Niko Vance was the next name to do so, as Spears continued to attempt to recruit numerous women into his group, including Gigi Dolin, Adriana Rizzo and Izzi Dame.
Ultimately, it was Izzi Dame who joined the group after previously helping out Tony D’Angelo, joining in on an attack on Tony alongside Spears, Jensen and Vance.
On last week’s show, Spears plan came to fruition, when he defeated Tony D’Angelo to capture the NXT North American Championship.
WWE had recently filed the trademark for ‘The Culling‘, which many had speculated would be for a faction, and in a video on tonight’s show, it was confirmed that Spears’ group will be using the name.
Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance and Izzi Dame will face Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino and Adriana Rizzo of the D’Angelo Family on next week’s NXT.
