The new interim General Manager of WWE NXT has officially been announced following Ava’s departure from the company.
Over the weekend, NXT General Manager Ava announced that she was leaving the company, with last week’s episode of NXT television being her final appearance on the show.
Following her departure, there had been speculation on who would replace her as the new General Manager of NXT, and it seems as though WWE will take some time before anointing her official replacement.
Tonight’s episode of NXT opened up with Robert Stone entering the General Manager’s office with Shawn Michaels, with Shawn praising Stone’s consistency over the past 7 years and his loyalty to the NXT brand.
Shawn would go on to name Stone as the new Interim General Manager of NXT, with a full-time replacement likely to be announced some time in the coming months.
Tonight’s NXT show will also see the crowning of a brand new NXT Champion, with seven men facing off in a Ladder match for the vacant title after Oba Femi had vacated the belt prior to his call up to the main roster.
