There was another ring mat change for tonight’s January 24, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown on the USA Network.
Since the start of the year, and mainly in conjunction with Raw’s move to Netflix, WWE’s shows have undergone a few presentation changes, including new ring mats, referee shirts and more.
For tonight’s WWE SmackDown, there was another alteration to the ring mat.
At the start of the year, SmackDown’s ring mat was changed from white to blue, but unlike Raw’s darker ring on Netflix, there were no sponsors on the canvas.
That changed tonight, as a logo for Angry Orchard Hard Cider was in the center of the ring.
Earlier this month, WWE posted video clip ads on social media for the same product, featuring The Miz and Otis.
There haven’t been any announcements as to how long the logo will feature on the SmackDown ring mat, but it is the only logo there tonight, unlike Raw which has multiple logos for multiple different sponsors.
The logo first became visible during the first match tonight, which saw the Motor City Machine Guns defeat Pretty Deadly in a tag team match.
