AEW has filed a new trademark that looks to confirm the new name for a tag team on the promotion’s roster.
Much like WWE, AEW will often file trademarks for new names for tag teams, factions, events, etc before officially introducing them on TV.
It has emerged that AEW’s newest trademark filing with the United States Patent & Trademark Office was for ‘Paid In Full’ with the description suggesting Paid In Full will be the new name for a tag team.
The description with the filing is as follows:
Conducting entertainment exhibitions in the nature of professional wresting exhibits and performances by professional wrestlers, namely, performances by a tag team of wrestlers during professional wrestling events; Entertainment services in the nature of live professional wrestling performances
We’ll keep you posted with any news on which tag team the name Paid In Full is intended to be used by, as that has yet to be officially announced.
There’s a possibility that it could be for a team in Ring of Honor if not for a team that’s prominent on mainline AEW TV.
