New AEW signing Trey Miguel has confirmed he’s “taking a break from wrestling” after not appearing alongside his stablemates on last night’s episode of Collision (January 17).

In what was a fast developing story throughout the past week, The Rascalz were confirmed to have departed TNA Wrestling on Tuesday, January 13, only for a vignette teasing their debut in AEW to air on the following night’s Dynamite: Maximum Carnage.
Fans got to see Dezmond Xavier, Zachary Wentz and Myron Reed for the first time during a backstage interview segment with Lexy Nair on yesterday’s AEW Collision, however, there was no sign of the fourth member of the group: Trey Miguel.
Following speculation among fans online afterwards, Miguel has now taken to Instagram to share an update on his status.
Revealing via his Instagram Stories that he’s taking a “break from wrestling”, Miguel wrote:
Taking a break from wrestling. Please respect my space and don’t tag me in any posts or comments. Go support The Rascalz still..
Miguel did not comment further with any timeline for his return or AEW status.
While The Rascalz look set to compete as a trio for now, Miguel was reported to have signed with AEW when the news first broke on Wednesday.
We wish Miguel the best in his break from the ring and will provide further information on his status as news becomes available.
