Nattie has addressed John Cena’s much-anticipated return to WWE as the guest host of WrestleMania 42.
On Monday, March 30, John Cena surprised fans by taking to social media to announce his return to WWE as the special guest host of WrestleMania 42.
The appearance will mark Cena’s first in WWE since retiring from in-ring competition at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, 2025, and one WWE star says she “couldn’t be happier” to see the 17-time world champion make his comeback in Las Vegas.
Speaking to Dave LaGreca on Busted Open, Nattie said she “wasn’t happy” about Cena hanging up his boots last year and put over how much of a “class act” he is behind closed doors.
Nattie said:
“I couldn’t be happier, because I’m somebody that was very vocal about not wanting to see John Cena go, and I wasn’t happy about him retiring at all. And I told him about it and I told you (Dave LaGreca) about it.
“The one thing I love more than anything about John Cena is the way that he carries himself as far as etiquette goes.
“I remember when John came to The Dungeon and he was there early, he shook everybody’s hands, stayed there talked to everybody answered everybody’s question, poured his soul out to give advice to everyone.
“And then after the practice he said to TJ and I, ‘Is there anything I could have done better? What do you guys think? Can you please give me feedback? I’d really love feedback on what I could have done better today.’
“And that’s coming from John Cena. That shows what a class act he is.”

What Plans Could WWE Have In Store For John Cena At WrestleMania 42?
With John Cena highly unlikely to ever go back on his word and wrestle again in WWE, fans will get a good idea of how the company may use the “Never Seen 17” going forward with his WrestleMania 42 appearance.
While fans would perhaps hope that Cena could “adjust the attitude” of the man who retired him: GUNTHER, “The Ring General” now has a match booked for WrestleMania 42, so we may not see the two cross paths.
A backstage meeting would be a nice way for WWE to follow up their meeting at Saturday Night’s Main Event however, especially if 2026 WWE Hall of Fame inductee AJ Styles also shows up.
It’s not yet known who will be inducting Styles into the WWE Hall of Fame, but Cena is certainly one of the front runners, so the two legends sharing a moment in Las Vegas would be special.
Outside of these potential plans, expect Cena to do things like announce WrestleMania 42’s total attendance in Allegiant Stadium and perhaps, finally have a face-to-face meeting with Danhausen and/or R-Truth for some comedic shenanigans.
