AEW star MJF has revealed the first opponent he would like to face in WWE, if he were to ever make the jump to the bigger promotion.
MJF’s contract with AEW ends in just 15 months, set to expire in January of 2024.
The Devil of AEW prompted a Twitter Q&A on Monday evening (October 17) by tweeting to his followers:
“I’m stuck on this plane full with poors and tons of free Wine. Q&A time. Hit me.”
When a fan used the opportunity to ask MJF “Who’s the first person you’d want to work with if you went to WWE?” MJF simply replied “Owens”.
This is obviously referring to WWE star Kevin Owens, who many have dreamed about potentially going toe-to-toe with the Salt of the Earth both in the ring and on the microphone. However, Owens re-signing with WWE late last year means the match could only likely happen in one promotion now.
MJF used the opportunity to have more fun with his fans. One person asked him “What’s the first thing you’re gonna do when you’re AEW Champion,” to which MJF responded “Have sex with my fiancé with the belt on.”
The reply was likely a dig at Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo, who took a series of racy photographs in a hotel room with the TNT belt when Guevara was champion.
As the winner of the Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out, MJF is entitled to a shot at the AEW World Championship, currently held by Jon Moxley.
