MJF wins AEW World Championship at Worlds End 2025

MJF will defend his AEW World Championship in another promotion later this month, as confirmed by the champion himself on social media.

MJF captured the AEW World Championship for the second time in his career at AEW Worlds End on Saturday, December 27 – defeating Samoa Joe, Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland in a four-way for the gold.

As proven by the Wednesday, December 31 AEW Dynamite, MJF has no shortage of challengers for his newly won title, with Swerve Strickland, Hangman Page and Kenny Omega all setting their sights on AEW’s top prize.

While he also has a title defense against Dynamite Diamond Ring winner Bandido also lined up at AEW Dynamite Maximum Carnage on January 14, two days after that match, MJF will be defending his “Triple B” yet again.

As announced via a video on Twitter (see below), MJF issued a challenge to Alec Price for an AEW World Championship match at Limitless Wrestling’s Limitless Rumble event on Friday, January 16 – while also acknowledging that the match will only be for the title if he still has the gold in his possession by the time January 16 comes around.

MJF previously competed in Limitless Wrestling between 2017 and 2019, holding the Limitless World Title for 181 days before dropping it in his final match in the promotion in September 2019.
