Having last competed in AEW at the end of last year, an update has emerged on plans for Mercedes Mone and a championship.
Mercedes Mone saw her TBS Championship reign come to an end with a loss to Willow Nightingale at the New Year’s Smash episode of AEW Dynamite, which took place on December 31 last year.
With Mone going on to state that she was going to be “taking a break from AEW“, she is yet to make a return to the company.
With an appearance on reality television already confirmed, it has now been revealed that Mone will be heading to Poland in March.
The announcement came courtesy of Prime Time Wrestling, with Mone being their PTW Women’s Champion, in a post on Instagram, stating:
“IT IS HAPPENING!
“One of the best and most popular pro wrestlers in the world – Mercedes Mone is coming back to Poland to defend her Prime Time Wrestling Women’s Championship!
“Save the date of March 29 and be ready for an amazing show called PTW: More Mone, More Problems as well as a meet and greet with the global superstar you know from AEW, WWE or the Star Wars franchise – you just can’t miss it!”
An opponent is yet to be revealed for the AEW star, although PTW has promised “more information is coming soon” for the show taking place in the Szafirowy Dwór hotel in Kozłów, Poland.
Mone may no longer be the TBS Champion, but she does hold multiple championships on the independent wrestling scene.
At the time of writing, Mone holds Women’s Championships in PTW, European Wrestling Association, Bestya Wrestling, Discovery Wrestling, BODYSLAM, Winnipeg Pro Wrestling, and APAC Wrestling.
