TNA Wrestling’s Matt Hardy has praised a current WWE star and former AEW teammate amid their current championship reign.
With Ethan Page being the current NXT North American Champion, the former AEW star recently shared a string of statistics on himself ahead of his recent match against Shiloh Hill.
While Page may have described himself as “not a stats guy”, the video caught the attention of Matt Hardy, who shared a photo alongside the NXT North American Champion.
A star familiar with stats himself, Matt Hardy would praise Page for “betting on himself”, while also noting something else he’d taken from the legendary WWE name, tweeting:
“Proud of @OfficialEGO for rolling the dice & betting on himself – Most wrestlers would be afraid to.
“Ethan’s always been a hard worker (plus finish stealer) & student of the game.
“Being a “stats guy” is a new bit for him, but I’m genuinely happy for his great success in @WWENXT.”
Page has used the Twist of Fate, calling it the Twisted Grin, with the adoption of the move endorsed by Hardy.
