WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry has commented on crowd reactions to a star recently called up to the main roster.
Trick Williams has been prominently featured on SmackDown since officially joining the brand in January.
Speaking on Busted Open, Mark Henry commented on the pop Williams received during the February 27 SmackDown episode.
Believing that the fans have chosen Trick Williams in the same way they previously chose the likes of Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, Henry said:
“There was not a louder reaction on the entire show than that moment when Trick Williams came out to the ring. Nobody got a reaction like Trick Williams. You could not hear, it was like a jet engine was blaring.
“That doesn’t make Trick Williams a bad guy. It doesn’t make Trick Williams a good guy. It makes Trick Williams as big as the business. Not many people get that. That comes from being chosen in pro-wrestling.
“It ain’t nothing that the promoters could do, when you get over and the crowd chooses, ‘That’s our guy, I like him. He moved me, I like the way you talk that talk. I like the way you walk that walk.’
“Ric Flair was that guy, Shawn Michaels, you loved him, you hated him, you were confused, you didn’t know, but you wanted to see him, and you wanted to cheer him. Trick Williams is in rarified air right now, y’all, and you chose that.”
