Cody Rhodes has officially returned to AEW: Dynamite. He had sent out a text message earlier today that seemed to confirm he would return to the show.
After Brodie Lee defeated Orange Cassidy to retain the TNT Championship, the lights went off. Cody’s music began to play.
It seemed like minutes before the lights came back on, but when they did there was Cody. Of course, he looked a bit different.

Cody has gone back to the black hair. His suit was also all black. He looked like a much darker version of himself.
He took out members of the Dark Order in a vicious attack. Brodie Lee took off and headed to the back.
The commentary team put over this is a version of Cody we hadn’t seen before in AEW. They kept commenting on his eyes looking more intense and it being a more violent version.
After the attack, we got a promo from Brodie Lee. The promo was fantastic and intense.

Brodie challenged Cody to a Dog Collar Match. He didn’t say when the match would take place, but he did say Cody had to answer the challenge next week.
The Dog Collar match would seem to be a great addition to Full Gear, but that seems pretty far away. It could be destined for the anniversary show.
Either way, Cody/Brodie with a dog collar stipulation will be can’t miss.
