Reason For Botched WWE Spot Revealed

WWE SmackDown

The reason behind a botched spot on the most recent episode (November 11) of WWE SmackDown has been revealed.

On last Friday’s edition of the show, Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan botched a table spot during the six-way championship opportunity match for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship.

The winner of the match would be offered an opportunity to face WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion for the belt at WWE’s upcoming Survivor Series: WarGames event on November 26.

Morgan leaped at Rodriguez, who was supposed to catch the former champion and fall through the table.

However, Morgan did not seem to leap far enough and the two fell awkwardly.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that the botch was not the fault of Morgan, and was instead due to a miscommunication:

“There was a miscommunication, from what I understand. In the sense that it wasn’t supposed to be like that but it got changed like at the last second. I don’t know if everyone knew.

“Liv dove off the barricade but didn’t get far enough because originally it was going to be a different spot.

“From what I gather when they were going to the ring it got changed and maybe Liv didn’t hear about the change so that was the result.”

The match was ultimately won by Shotzi, who will face Rousey at the upcoming premium live event.
