WWE's Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio

Liv Morgan says she “wholeheartedly” believes she and Dominik Mysterio are the “greatest couple in WWE history.”

Morgan and Mysterio have officially been together as an on-screen couple since mid-2024, when Mysterio betrayed his then-partner Rhea Ripley to side with Morgan.

The pair have been together since then – a move that has led to both of them becoming bigger stars and more popular among WWE fans despite technically being heels the entire time.

In a new interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Morgan commented on her chemistry with Mysterio and why they work so well as a pairing, saying:

“I think, ultimately, we just understand the assignment. I feel like the fans love to hate us, or they hate to love us. It’s such an intriguing, complex, messy, wholesome love story that we haven’t seen for a while, and I feel like the audience really loves that.

“I think, honestly, we’re just iconic. I know I say that word a lot, but we’re just iconic together. I think we are the greatest couple in the history of WWE. I’m not just saying that. I mean that wholeheartedly.

“We’re better than Becky and Seth, we’re better than AJ and CM Punk. We’re better than Macho Man and Miss Elizabeth. I stand on that. I feel like we’ve resurged couples in WWE.

“What couples were couples before Dominik and I? Now you have tons of people coupling up, trying to do what we do, but they just can’t.”

Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan To Become Major Babyfaces In WWE

While they’ve been heels for the duration of their time together, there have been points that it seemed fans were getting behind Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan in a major way.

That hasn’t completely gone away, but it has somewhat subsided recently, with Mysterio going into a match against a rejuvenated ‘Demon’ Finn Balor at WrestleMania, and Morgan challenging Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

However, it still feels like only a matter of time before the majority of fans switch to cheering Mysterio and Morgan full-time – especially with the head injury suffered by Morgan this past Monday potentially inviting more sympathy towards her.

It’s important that when that time does come, WWE doesn’t change too much about Mysterio and Morgan’s antics, as that’s the reason they’re popular to begin with, instead leaning into the Eddie Guerrero style ‘lying, cheating and stealing,’ but now doing it to heels instead of babyfaces.
