John Cena has sent a message in reflection of 2025 – a year where he wrapped up his storied WWE in-ring career.
2025 was the year of John Cena, with WWE’s “Greatest of all Time” embarking on a 12 month farewell tour that spanned cities all across the globe and saw him capture his record-breaking 17th world championship, finally become a WWE Grand Slam Champion by winning the Intercontinental Title and even turn heel.
Just under three weeks from wrestling his last match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13 against GUNTHER, Cena took to Twitter to send a message of gratitude to his fans, critics and co-workers for making 2025 a year he’ll “never forget”.
Cena wrote:
Life goes on and we all move onward, as 2026 is here I’ll fondly remember so many moments from 2025.
Thanks to ALL fans, co workers, critics and anyone around the world who used their voice to make 2025 a year that I’ll never forget.
Omnia Dedi. Pro omnibus gratias ago.
Cena’s closing message is Latin and translates to: “I gave everything, thanks for everything” – a message that also featured on his shirt for his final WWE match in Washington D.C. on December 13.
