Judgment Day WWE Split Update

WWE Judgment Day members Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor

An update has emerged on the potential split of the Judgment Day following last night’s WWE Elimination Chamber premium live event.

At Elimination Chamber, Judgment Day’s Finn Balor challenged CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Balor was ultimately unsuccessful, but shook Punk’s hand out of respect after the match, which is now the second time he’s done that.

One of the discussions the announcers were having during the match was whether Finn Balor’s Judgment Day teammates would end up coming down to the ring to help him, but that was not the case.

In something of an update, The Vision’s Austin Theory shared a photo on social media today of himself and Dominik Mysterio in one of the WWE Elimination Chamber pods last night, confirming that Mysterio was at the show.

Therefore, in theory, Mysterio was present and could have come out to help Balor if he wanted to.

The commentators did point out that Balor had specifically asked Judgment Day not to get involved, but that hasn’t stopped them in the past.

It has now been about a year if not longer of Balor and Mysterio not seeing eye to eye, with Mysterio pinning Balor to win the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 41, and tensions continuing ever since.

They were planned for a match against each other at SummerSlam last year, but WWE decided to continue to draw things out due to the popularity of the group.

Mysterio currently holds the IC Title, having briefly lost it to John Cena and won it back since his aforementioned Mania 41 win.
