Former WWE Champion Raj Dhesi (Jinder Mahal) has now won a tag team championship alongside a current AEW name.

Following Dhesi’s WWE exit, the wrestling veteran began his Unhindered tour, establishing himself as a star away from WWE.

One of the major dates on his Unhindered tour was AAA TripleMania 32 on August 17, with it being announced that the former Jinder Mahal would team with AEW’s Satnam Singh to compete for the AAA World Tag Team Championship.

Dhesi and Singh were ultimately victorious, defeating the teams of Negro Casas & Psycho Clown and Dr. Wagner Jr. & Galeno del Mal in a three-way bout to win the title.

AEW’s Jeff Jarrett was in Singh and Dhesi’s corner.

Dhesi has now taken to Twitter to react to this title change, writing:

This match marked Dhesi’s debut for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, as well as his first time teaming with Satnam Singh.

Singh has competed for AAA several times this year, following his debut at the April 27 TripleMania show.

Satnam Singh is currently listed on the AEW roster as a member of the broadcast team, after being moved there from the talent roster in June.
