An injured WWE star says they’re “eyeballing” a return to the ring by WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas.

Back at October’s WWE Crown Jewel 2025 premium live event, Seth Rollins would suffer a shoulder injury during his match with Cody Rhodes, forcing him to relinquish his World Heavyweight Championship shortly afterwards.

While he’s made clear that his sights are set on reclaiming that gold from CM Punk when he gets back, will we see “The Visionary” return to the ring by WrestleMania 42 on April 18-19?

Appearing on The Sal Licata Show, Rollins said he was “eyeballing” a potential return in time for WrestleMania 42, but admits the decision regarding whether they get cleared is out of their hands:

“Ultimately the decision is not up to me. I do everything that they put in front of me, try to hit all of my markers as far as rehabilitation is concerned, get myself ready.

“I think anytime you’re in our profession WrestleMania is the main goal, so yeah, I’m eyeballing WrestleMania, I’d love to be involved in some capacity, but at the end of the day I don’t make that final call.

“The doctor’s gotta make that decision and let me know if I’m good enough to do that, if the timeline fits we’ll see.”

Rollins has headlined Night One of the past two WrestleMania events, teaming with Cody Rhodes to take on The Rock and Roman Reigns in 2024 and competing in a three-way with Reigns and CM Punk last year – the latter of which he won.

In the same interview Rollins confirmed his status for tomorrow night’s WWE Royal Rumble 2026 PLE – click here for full details.
