The identity of a mystery WWE star has now been confirmed after it was accidentally spoiled by the company.
On last week’s episode of WWE NXT, Jazmyn Nyx was shown attacked backstage, with her seemingly being removed from Fatal Influence as Fallon Henley and Jacy Jayne walked off, saying it was ‘time to get rid of her’.
This led to reports that Lainey Reid was expected to replace her in the group, which were amplified after No Mercy, when a mystery attacker aided Jacy Jayne in her NXT Women’s Championship match with Lola Vice.
While the attacker’s identity was not revealed on the show, WWE.com’s recap of the event accidentally named Reid as the attacker, before it was later edited to remove any reference of her.
However, now there is no longer any mystery as to who the attacker was, as Lainey approached Jacy and Fallon backstage after Fallon’s loss to Lola Vice earlier in the night.
Lainey said that she would do anything for Fatal Influence, including ‘going against the doctor’s orders’ at No Mercy.
When Fallon and Jacy questioned Lainey, she handed Jacy the mask she wore at No Mercy, also confirming that she took out Jazmyn on last week’s NXT.
