Paul Heyman was relieved of his duties as Executive Producer of WWE Raw a few months ago. Many people were wondering when Brock Lesnar would return to television and Paul Heyman could get back as an on-screen character.
However, it didn’t take Lesnar returning to television for Paul Heyman to return to television. Paul Heyman returned on WWE SmackDown Friday night and he’s got a new Heyman Guy. You won’t believe who it is.
The ending of SmackDown saw Roman Reigns telling Adam Pearce that he was going to win the Universal Championship on Sunday. He promised this wasn’t just a prediction, it’s a spoiler.
The camera zoomed out and there next to him was Paul Heyman. It appears Roman Reigns is now a Paul Heyman guy.

Many fans on Twitter were very excited about this combination. While Roman isn’t terrible on the microphone, he has faced criticism at times over his promo skills.
Putting him with Paul Heyman would ensure he can be a silent badass which suits his character so well. Additionally, that alignment will make him connected to many of the most hardcore of fans just by aligning him with Paul Heyman. You gotta love mind manipulation at its finest.
Even if Roman was a great talker, Heyman has shown he can work well with someone who can talk too. Heyman and CM Punk’s partnership was great for both.
This sure seems like a huge step in the right direction for Roman and if nothing else, something fans will be looking forward to watching the developments as they unfold.
